Posted on

Thank you to everyone who came to our Open Day in September, it was lovely to
see lots of new families and we have enjoyed welcoming everyone to our village
pre-school – well done to all the children for settling in well.
We are delighted to have two new members of staff, Karen Beal who has taken
over the role as Preschool Administrator and Emily Thavarajah, the new snack
assistant. Welcome on board!
The children are enjoying this terms’ theme, stories. Focusing in particular on
rhyming stories including family favorites, “Each, Peach, Pear, Plum” and “The
Hungry Caterpillar”.
This month the Preschool are supporting the charity Young Minds; a charity
supporting mental health in young children (www.youngminds.org.uk). On the
10 th October we are taking part in their “#HelloYellow” fundraiser and would
like children to come to Preschool wearing Yellow. Whether you chose a splash
or full head to toe, let's support this great charity. The “Pink Ladies” may become
the “Yellow Ladies”. Our focus for the day will be talking about our feelings .
A little reminder to all parents that we use an online key working system called
Tapestry; this is a great way to see your child’s progress and we would
encourage anyone who hasn’t yet done so to sign up. We also have a closed
Facebook group which is used for sharing information and details of events and
news at pre-school -please speak to Leah if you would like to be added to the
