Exminster Preschool News - August 2021

At last, the sun came out and we had a fun-packed last few weeks of term; the sponsored triathlon was enjoyed by all, and our annual teddy bear’s picnic was the perfect way to end the school year.

We said a fond farewell to our Cygnets who are moving up to Primary School in September – goodbye and good luck to all of you in your exciting new adventure! We were sad to say goodbye to Martha, who has been working with us for 3.5 years while studying for a teaching degree. Martha is starting her PGCE in September, she will be greatly missed by everyone and we would like to say thank you for all your hard work – we wish you all the very best.

From September we will be following a new EYFS framework– this is the standards that childcare providers must meet for learning, development and care of children. We are proud to announce that all our staff have now completed their training and are ready to implement the changes in the coming year.

We have spaces available for children starting in September so please feel free to contact us for further information, or come along to our Open Day on Tuesday 7th September 2021, 10-11am – everyone is welcome; this is a great opportunity to look around our village pre-school, meet the staff, Committee and other parents. The Autumn term begins on Wednesday 8th September.

We are pleased to announce from September we will be offering Friday afternoon sessions. Our term dates for 2021/2022: Autumn Term: 8th September–17th December, Half term: 25st – 29th October; Spring Term: 5th January–7th April, Half term: 21st–25st February; Summer Term: 25th April–22nd July, Half term 30th May–3rd June.
