Exminster Preschool news - October 2022

Thank you to everyone who came to our Open Day in September, it was lovely to see lots of new families and we have enjoyed welcoming everyone to our village pre-school

Thank you to all the staff who worked this summer in our first holiday club. We feel it was a great success and hope the children enjoyed it as much as we did. Please keep an eye out for future holiday club dates.

A little reminder to all parents that we use an online key working system called Tapestry; this is a great way to see your child’s progress and we would encourage anyone who hasn’t yet done so to sign up. We also have a closed Facebook group which is used for sharing information and details of events and news at pre-school – please speak to Leah if you would like to be added to the group.

This term we will be holding our Annual General Meeting (date TBC). The AGM provides an opportunity to hear about the progress of pre-school during the last year, as well as an update on our plans for the coming year. The AGM is also when the voluntary Committee is elected; we would love to see some new faces so please do consider if you can support us by becoming a member. As a committee run pre-school, we must have at least 5 parent volunteers to enable us to open and run as a setting. The Committee organises and runs fundraising events such as the Christmas Bazaar, and helps to make decisions about how the pre-school is run; if you would like to know more, please speak to Leah or one of the Committee members. Everyone is invited to the evening.

This term we say goodbye to Karen Beal who has been our administrator for last the 3 years. Karen has been an active part of the Preschool for the last 8 years; being a member of the committee and then later becoming the administrator. We look forward to welcoming her replacement later in the term and wish her the best of luck for the future.
